What is a teen boot camp
Teen boot camps are usually private boot camps or government run physical training
and discipline boot camps designed to teach life lessons, teach respect, and
obedience. Most teen boot camps are based on the U.S. armed forces’ training
camps. Usually former military men and women operate a boot camp
similarly to the training they received while enlisted. Some boot camps
additionally offer lessons in topics such as:
STD’s
Drugs
Alcohol
Respect for Authority
Environmental awareness
What are the differences between government run boot camps and private run boot
camps?
Government run (usually state) boot camps are funded by the government
and usually is a requirement of a juvnile justice judge as part of the
rehabilitation of a seriously delinquent youth. The only real way to be
sent to a government run and operated boot camp is to get in a lot of
trouble legally and be assigned a judge who feels strongly in teen boot camp
discipline.
Privately funded and operated teen boot camps have open admission policies
where as they take almost anybody that is physically and emotionally
able to with stand the rigors of such a boot camp be enrolled. Private
teen boot camps are all funded by a student’s parent (s). Many teen boot camps
do
only accept males due to the extreme physical difficulties.
Where are teen boot camps located?
Teen boot camps are located throughout the continental United States. It is
important to determine the climate and operation strategy of a
potential boot camp as many are operated in desert area’s where there
are excessive temperature changes and are therefore coupled with the
physical requirements and sparse living conditions, dangerous.
